Breaking the myth around studying abroad during the times of Covid-19

Globalization is changing the way the world functions and with the current advancement, employers are more interested in looking for workers with cutting-edge technical skills. Studying abroad can be a transformational journey for many students helping them to understand different ways of life and acquire global skills which would further aggravate their opportunities to find job globally.

Inspite of being in the middle of a pandemic which has affected the global education system, report shows that overseas education is the main draw for Indians when it comes to using the RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme(LRS). This year in April, remittances toward studies abroad jumped to $353 million from April 2020 when Indians sent only $79 million for the same reason. This shows that the fear and myth around Covid which should have made students to stay in India for their education has worked either way and resulted in an increase in overseas education. Students want to go abroad to finish their education with the idea to explore more with their course and acquire skills that would give an edge to their career.
